DAS Home

The Delaware Astronomical Society's purpose is to encourage interest in and share our passion for astronomy. We do so throughout the year partly through star parties, a monthly on-line newsletter and having interesting guest speakers from various fields of astronomy at our meetings. These are only a few of our offerings to the members of DAS and the public at large. On this site, you will find our calendars, much more club information, items of interest to amateur astronomers, and lots of other information. Membership is not required to attend our meetings. 	DAS Members and guests are welcome to convene at the Sawin Observatory or another site where observing and imaging sessions take place on clear sky nights. Dates will post on the DAS Group as weather permits.
	Special Interest Groups’ (SIG) gatherings, which include developing the skill-sets for Astrophotography and Telescope Making (ATM), will post advisories to DAS members who join the DAS SIG through email.
